My cell phone received a text message from 561-325-6643 today. It reads: "Important Notice: Dear Verizon Customer, Please Verify Your Verizon Account at: http://myverizon.vt-mobile.com/MyVerizon/"
I shouldn't have clicked the link but I did and my phone said it is a phishing site. Message in red says: "Warning! The web page you tried to visit might have been trying to steal your personal information. That page was removed after being identified as a 'phishing' web page...."
Never trust links in emails, even if from someone you think is legitimate and look carefully at the web address. I see now that that address is a phony.
The "800notes" webmaster needs to att a call type for these kinds of calls or texts.
