Same here. Called for my old Company to follow up to a letter from a Capital Corporation. She left message and now I understand what it was about. Supposedly for an interest to acquire my Company. I smell a scam of course. Beware.
Called the first time and held the line while they talked to coworkers in the background, then hung up. Called the second time 15 minutes later and knew the name of our company owner, asking to speak with him and was very vague as to why. She finally stated it was regarding "acquisitions", I replied that we are not interested and hung up. She called back immediately and said she didn't know if we got disconnected, to which I stated we were not disconnected - I intentionally hung up. She wanted to explain the reason for her call, I told her to try again, so she asked if I understood what acquisitions meant. I told her I did and that we were not interested, she laughed and hung up. So far no more calls, we'll see how long that lasts.
