I recieved a call from this number almost daily and they never leave a message. Today they left a message but it was a voice recording stating it was the Civil Investigation Unit and I have a claim against me. I had 24-48 hours to contact them or have my lawyer contact them. They left their call back number and a case number. The number comes up on my caller ID as a Floriday USA number.
Recorded message call indicates it is part of a civil investigation unit and there is a civil suit and restraining order pending against person receiving the call. Call provides a Case #, but without indicating legal particulars. The call tells the recipient that he or she has 24-48 hours to contact an attorney to contest the case.
I called the number and got a recorded message, but hung after hearing the name of the company and immediately realizing that this was a SCAM CALL.
Keeps calling about a civil suit and restraining order against a Douglas S Henry, who I am not. And that I have 24-48 hours to respond with my lawyer. I was stupid enough to try and call to sort this out, and was on hold with Florida # for over 10 minutes.
