Just called me at 7:38 a.m. PDT. Surely up to no good because it's Saturday. Yesterday I got a call from another number from unknown number in another state telling me I had won a free stay at a Marriott Hotel. I'm going to block both numbers and relist my number on the Do Not Call List.
You don't need to relist your number on the DNC list (but you can, if it'll make you feel better.) There is no longer an expiration on the DNC list except when you request to be removed or if you surrender your number and it gets reassigned.
In any case, the caller probably doesn't honor the DNC list anyway. Most scammers, who are spoofing their phone numbers and locations, are criminals either here or overseas and have no regard for DNC or any laws that pertain here. Blocking is your best bet.

Do NOT do that!
1) There is no need to do so - DNC registrations do not expire! (Read the info at the DNC site)
2) Relisting may open your number to all callers for 30 days, while the new list is promulgated.
3) Scammers ignore the DNC list ... the DNC list is NOT a call blocker!
