I called back a number from my missed call list and received a message:
The FBI reports there is home break-in every 15 seconds. If you will allow us, we will install a new security system at absolutely no cost to you whatsoever. There is no cost to the system. To hear more, press 1 now. To be placed on our do-not-call list, press 9.
I pushed "1" and spoke to pleasant lady who identified the firm as Security Solutions out of Irvine, CA.
She gladly accommodated putting me on their do-not-call list.

this outfit also calls from 800-231-1364, using an autodialler from "Jenifer" regarding installation of a home security system; press 1 to talk to a representative.
When you press 1, you get a guy who only claims it is security solutions of Irvine CA. and who refuses to provide any other information about the so-called company. The caller uses illegal autodiallers and violates the do not call list. It won't even give out a mailing address. But it wants me to let them have access to my home security? Lets have the criminals in for lunch, too, eh? Jerks.
Guarantee the people you spoke to DID NOT want access to your existing system. You are slandering a company by citing incorrect "examples" or their business activities. If anyone here is a criminal here, sir it is you! Have HAVE committed slander with this post. Inaccurate misrepresentations of an individual or company that is overheard, or was informed in a way they would not ordinarily have is punishable by law.
Game respect game, dude!
