Five calls from 562-178-9456 between July 3 and Aug 7, 2014. I only answered once. I've never heard a voice, robo, human or otherwise. I'm positive the reason "no one is there" is that the call is only one of thousands being randomly dialed; by the time we pickup, the telemarketer has already gotten an answer from someone else, i.e., "is busy telemarketing", so even though you've picked-up, the call doesn't connect to an 'available' telemarketer.
I've tried different spoofs, which sometimes seem to result in no more calls. But I'm not surprised that with some callers nothing works. Most of us don't have the time or patience to log these calls. Fortunately, I have the couple minutes to write it down, because I do file FCC complaints on some. Hoping they'll one day do their job right. Now that's a thought.
Do you know what one million telemarketers at the bottom of the ocean is? (Answer: A good start).
