Yes, a person named DeeAnn from "special collections" has been harassing my 90-year-old parents for money. If she calls again I will respond in kind with an attorney. It's a scam.
Caller from special collections keeps trying to get info from my elderly parent. Claims to be a collection agency but will not provide information about who the company is or what the debt is about. When confronted as a scammer, the woman became belligerent.
Deeann from A1 Department of Special Collections called parents today about trash bags they "ordered". Never received a bill and now years later they owe $324.84. Was told they will serve papers to appear in court in CA. I told my father not to pay. I did call the number and let a message and DeeAnn called me back. I told her not to call his number again and she said not a problem she will see us in court. DeeAnn could not send an invoice until it was paid in full. Not happening.
DeeAnn get a real job and stop scamming folks.
These people have been calling my elderly parents for years harassing them about invoices for products they did not order. Years ago,my father made the mistake of ordering trash bags from some pitiful person saying he needed money for deaf and blind people. After that fateful order, these people have been harassing him for years with several calls per week telling him he owes money for garbage bags or light bulbs or air fresheners. He has proof of payment several times over for that original order. Sadly, he has sent them thousands of dollars. My parents live in fear now because these people keep calling them and threatening lawsuits, collection, etc. They are so worried that my parents wont even answer their phone now because they are afraid it will be A1.
This week I decided to change things up and I am now calling A1 daily . Of course they are accusing me of harassing them! But I told them I was going to call as many times as they had called my parents and explain to them each day how they were not ever going to get money for the false invoices. The really dont like that:) I am calling them each day to tell them I know who they are and I know what they do. Anyone want to join me? Please call them. Don't try to get into conversations about invoices with them. Just tell them you know what they are up to. They will threaten collections and harassment claims but they wont act on it. They do not have a leg to stand on - They are not legit.
If nothing else, we can just be a real pain to them. If you dial *67 before calling, your number does not show up if you do not want them to have your number. thanks for your help! Your momma will thank you too:)
