This is my 6th call from this, see the previous comments. Finally this time a live person was available on their end so the call didn't terminate. They asked for my son, who hasn't lived here for 15 years. Maybe they can't afford an up-to-date list? And they're so far behind on the technology that they can't even change the spoofed caller ID phone number?
The usual pitch: we're going to be in your neighborhood today to give estimates. She said the company name was Builders Specialists when I asked. She refused to give me the contractor's license number because some scammers might get it and represent themselves as her company. I said other contractors weren't worried about that--they put their license numbers on their trucks.
She said she was working for her father. I asked his name and she said something Bailey. I asked how she'd like it if scammers kept calling her elderly relatives to try to rip them off. She played the aggrieved innocence card and said, You stop that.
She figured out this call was not going to be productive and said I hope you have a nice day. That's part of her I'm a nice person and you're mean act. I told her I hope you can find a job working for someone who's not a crook.
800notes needs to add a new category to the Call type options below: Fraud or Scammer. Telemarketer isn't specific enough.
