Message was left from IRS saying final notice they are filing a lawsuit against me. I would think I'd receive some mail first?? If I owe, I owe, but it's doubtful that they use a poorly recorded, robotic recording to inform people that they're being sued by the IRS. Especially without being harassed in ANY other way first. And the number they left to return wasn't an 800 # which seems more likely if it were real. It was the same # that showed up on caller ID 562-371-4151. If you call back these #s they know they reached someone, so don't call it back or they won't stop. I'm sure somehow you calling back can be seen as some sort of acceptance of their call and exempts them from violating the DNC list.
Call leave voicemail said the important matter being sue by IRS, if I didn't pay a bill of $5000 over the phone today. But the idiot didn't know he was talking to an answering machine!!! Dummy!!
Same thing. Automated robotic voice claims we're being sued by IRS. 2 calls so far today and it's only 11:00am. I did not answer. Always let recorder answer. Big SCAM
Received the same phone call "from the IRS". I did not answer and went to answering machine.
The IRS will never contact anyone over the telephone about that, they communicate by letter.
Do not answer the phone, do not call them back. Just ignore the call and if it is possible, block the number.
