Michael Freeman, a very thick Indian accented man, called me from IRS (and had to then stipulate that stood for the Internal Revenue Service). Call was at 7 am. He left threatening, belligerent message about starting a law suit against me if he didn't hear back from me immediately. And if I didn't call back, he wished me the best of luck in my legal battles...... This is the 3rd or 4th call from this scam. I have reported to the IRS - you can too at www.tigta.gov. If anyone out there believes that the IRS hires thick accented Indians to make phone calls to collect money over the phone AND wish you the best of luck (LOL), then you have more problems than this scam. NONE of these fit or make sense. :)
Michael Freeman claims he is with IRS and suing me. He never called me by name or gave a badge number. He spoke poor English and said it was time sensitive call back immediately. SCAM
Phone call of incredibly poor quality connection with poorly spoken Indian accent saying that he is from the IRS and that this is a matter of extreme importance and very time sensitive. I've gotten two this morning, about an hour and a half apart.
Got a call this morning twice, i called back the first time to see who it was and he wouldn't tell me. He just kept asking "what is your name?" I got suspicious and asked him who he worked for and he started saying that i'm the only person the US that won't give a name (haha) and then said i must be a criminal if i don't want to give it. Same as the others, bad accent, difficult to understand. Big time scam.
