They call claiming to be from the IRS and said I owed some taxes from 2008 to 2013 and that I owed more than $5000 and I was been send to court or I can try to settle the charges out of court and he transfer me to a supervisor when I talk to the supervisor he did not know what exactly was my case and he want me to explain to him what was my case after I question the reality of the call or if they actually are from the IRS he hang up the call, I call back the number and a lady answer saying it was the IRS after several of my questions to verify that it was the IRS she hang up the call. One thing is that all of them have a very big Indian accent.
Thanks Hector. They just called my phone too. IRS will always contact us by mail if there is a question on our account. This is the second scammer pretending to be IRS in a week!
I have heard they will ask you to go get pre paid money cards and give them the info off them.
Called claiming to be the IRS. After personally dealing with the federal government on a different matter, I learned that the feds will never call, They always send post mail for several years before they initiate a phone call.
