Called wanting my ex-daughter-in-law because they had civil paper to deliver. They wanted me to give them her phone number but I refused. Figured it was a scam just trying to scare people. They gave me phone number 1-844-373-5949 They just need to stop. They should be arrested and prosecuted.
Six months ago I obtained a cellphone number in California, but am now in Florida. I just received a recorded phone call at 10:45 p.m. EST telling me that it was urgent that I call about legal papers that were about to be filed against me. It came from the (567) 343-4655 number in Ohio. Ridiculous! I work in the legal field and have never heard of any process servers that make threatening calls in advance of service. Real process servers just do their job and successfully deliver the complaints, subpoenas, eviction notices, etc. without fanfare. They don't try to scare you or alert you before doing process service.
