I received a texted from this number. I have no idea who this is and see the number is in Ohio. I have no contacts with the number& I don't know people in Ohio. In review of the context of the message saying my name (which was misspelled) to join them playing Skee-Ball(r) and a link, I found many others are also receiving this text. Some have received it as many as 120 times. One posted the replied text "stop" and haven't received any more messages. I am not sure what this is all about but if something seems off I think others should know and to be cautioned of a potential issue/problem connect to this situation.
First, forward such spam texts to 7726, all major carriers use that number for the reporting of spam text messages. Second, do not go to the link. It is likely loaded with malware and may infect your smartphone.
