Per the Fair Debt Recovery Act, debt collectors can not threaten you with warrants and arrest. It is against the law. Report them to the Federal Trade Commission. If they continue to threaten you, let them know that you know the Fair Debt Act states that what they are doing is illegal and that you will be contacting the FTC and a lawyer to have them sued. Per the Act, if they use illegal practices to try to collect a debt, they can be sued and you will not only not owe the debt, but they will have to pay you the amount of the debt that they say you owe.
First, stop paying them. Then seek legal advice. If they used illegal tactics to get you to pay them then they can be sued per the Fair Debt Act and you will not owe them a dime, plus they will have to pay you the amount of the debt they said you owed as a penalty.
First off, ignore what they said. They can not send law enforcement to do any of those things. Everything he said to collect this debt, if it is a valid debt, is illegal and you can sue the company so that you not only do not owe anything plus they would have to pay you the amount of the debt they say you owe as a penalty. The Fair Debt Act states that they can not threaten you if you don't pay. Also, find out if they told your mother anything about the details of this "debt" you owe. If they did, that is also illegal as hell and just more ammo against them. They can not reveal any details about debts to anyone other than the person owing the debt.
