Called me Wednesday evening. Young Female voice, North Eastern US accent. identified her self as working for web.com. Stated that in a system move they had lost the payment details for my web site registry so I'd need to supply them again. I refused to give my credit card details over the phone and said if that was the case then I'd go to my actual registry company for that site and update them there. She then said they'd just get the payment details from another site I have registered.
Neither site she identified is registered with web.com.
It is indeed a web com subsidiary called network solutions. They called me today to inform me a domain name I back ordered was successfully transferred to me.
