Received a call from 5704918232 labeled as being from Matamoras, PA. I answered. There was silence for a second, then you could hear the sounds of a hustle and bustle or maybe even a party in the background. I said hello and caller said "Hello, Mr Waters?" I said "No, you have the wrong number", as I am not Mr. Waters. He said "I'm sorry, sometimes we do that", and hung up.
Get calls from this number several times a day....everyday!!! No one is there and there is never a message left when it goes to my voicemail. Caller ID only shows Matamoras
Called them back. Got a message that they're a company that collects money for charities. I stayed on the line and there is an option to get removed from their calling list. I followed the instruction ( just typed in my phone # which they already have). Message said it could take "up to 30" days before I'm not showing up on the list. I'm sure there's no "delay" when it comes to them taking you money. I don't give any money or pledge to ANY charities over the phone. The scammers have ruined it for legitimate charities.
