Just called my school district office and yes it is the new subfinder #. I am in Ca. and couldn't figure out why a Pennsylvania # was coming up!! So yes, it is subfinder!!!
Effective March 21st 2011, the telephone number from which SubFinder calls substitutes will change. It will no longer be 800-782-3463. This number has been replaced with 570-651-4588.
Do you use SubFinder? Check out SubAssistant.com and sign up to receive text and email notifications of new jobs.
For those of you who have no clue what Subfinder is, it is an automated system school districts use to provide substitutes when teachers call in sick. The reason it calls in the early morning hours is obvious. If you are getting calls and are NOT signed up with your local school district, either someone entered your number in error or you have a number that a substitute teacher previously had. And you will continue to get those early morning calls, sometimes numerous times.
It is NOT a telemarketer. If you are getting early morning calls from them, you will have to contact the company to get things straightened out.
It is SubFinder for the Moon Area SD in Pittburgh,PA. I couldn't figure out why the 412 exchange wasn't being used anymore. I wish the district would notify its subs when things change. Yes, this particular sub calling system is the most annoying around. I wish the district would use another system like AESOP. With this system, you cannot program in the times you want to be called like AESOP.
Best thing to do is to go into the districts website and put a Do Not Disturb on.
