Same here. VERY HEAVY Indian accent. Couldn't really understand him. Then signal started breaking up and I hung up and blocked the number. Direct TV should know better than to have some obscure number call with no discernible connection to Direct TV.
got a call from them and so I asked a few simple DIRECT TV questions and they knew nothing of what I was talking about......so after I looked up the number and contacted DIRECT TV themselves and they confirmed it was not them calling I called the number back. the India man said he dealt with the installation not the system just to make sure it was okay and I asked him y would he call me several different times whenever I sais it was fine the first time and he replied it was just courtesy calls so I told him I wanted his operator id with DIRECT TV which he could not give me then I said let me talk to a supervisor and he asked for my acct number which I would not give him and then I told him he best not call this number anymore and that I was reporting him to DIRECT TV because this was a scam and I wasn't sure what he was trying to get out of it but it was stupid for him to keep calling me.
I have received over 12 calls from this number in the past 2 weeks. Caller claims to be from direct tv and wants to know if my service that I had connected on June 14 is still working. I have asked him numerous times to not call me anymore and he continues to do so. I have called direct tv and they say they can't do anything, not even give me the number or address for the company they contracted out, which is who he apparently works for. They could only give me the company name. I am very angry about this because ultimately direct tv introduced this man into my life and aren't doing anything to stop these harassing calls. He has called twice in the past 30 minutes and now he doesn't even say anything, he just holds the phone and hangs up on me. Direct tv says to file a police report against the number but I live in a very small town and they wouldn't do anything about a number calling me from PA and I live in SC. Anyone have any advice on how to stop these calls???
