I wish I had found this site BEFORE dealing with Mark and his salvage yard!!! I needed a front and rear bumper and headlight bezels for a car that I was restoring. I ordered these parts from Mark going on 2 and a half months ago!!!! I have been VERY PATIENT with him. After we talked on the phone about the specifics of the parts I western unioned him $700 the very next day. Since then needless to say I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY PARTS. I asked him in the beginning when could I expect to receive my items and he told me within a week. That was TWO MONTHS AGO. Since then I have been calling to check on the status of shipment. First he told me his shipper was backed up, then he was having trouble getting in touch with the shipper...the BS goes on and on. Within the last two weeks I have called more frequently because quite frankly I'm tired of being patient. I'm sure my $700 was spent a long time ago and I STILL have NOTHING. The last lie he told was last Thursday - I'm putting you items on a truck now but due to the holiday you probably won't get them until next Friday. I was okay with that until I called yesterday to get a tracking number to find out where everything was. Mark rushed me off the phone saying he was in New York (like I cared) and he would call me first thing this morning...of course he didn't so I called him. He had absolutely NOTHING to tell me, no tracking number no info no nothing. He even had a attitude like I was bothering him, last time I checked it was customer first?! I am a woman and am aware that sometimes we can be ran over but not this one. I firmly let Mark know that I didn't believe a word he was telling me and I wanted my money back. He told me to stop flipping out and let him take care of it like he's been trying to do. He also said that he is only the business office manager and has no control over the shipping. What really got me upset was that he said he has OTHER customers that he has to deal with as well so I basically need to wait my turn!!! By then I was livid on the inside, I wasn't going to get into a screaming match with him but I did tell him he's nothing but a FLIGHT away from me. He told me he would get a tracking number and call back and hung up on me.
I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH ANYONE LIKE THIS BEFORE IN MY LIFE. I'M RESTORING A CAR AND HAVE BEEN ORDERING PARTS ONLINE FOR THE PAST YEAR, I HAVEN'T RUN INTO A SITUATION LIKE THIS EVER.
Needless to say if Mark doesn't call me back (which I'm sure he won't) I'll be making a trip to Pennsylvania.
It's takes a lot to get me to this point but for anybody considering doing business with Mark's Auto Parts, Marcus Winnick - DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
