keep calling several times a day and is a recording but when press to talk to actual person either get cut off or sounds like a fax or busy signal and they constantly call back
An electric generation company wanting you to switch to them. Don't know which one. Didn't stay on the phone long enough to find out. Based in Scranton, PA.
This is a strange one. Called yesterday and left it ring 20 times. The coller ID reads customer department. Googled the number and amongst the listings is American Eagle Bus & Limo, 533 N. Keyser Ave Scranton, PA 18504. I get people wanting a golf course which has similar numbers as mine so I figured it was a wrong number. Today they called again. I picked it up on the second ring. It is someone claiming they are from PP&L, assuming you are a customer of PP&L, regarding lowering your rates. Now is the "American Eagle Bus & LImo" a ligitimate co or have these phone scammers gotten so desperate? Tired of all this nonsense.
Yes- this is, indeed, some sort of scam. I have just gotten called by this phone number -- at first, it was a robot-like woman's voice on a recorded message, telling me that "Due to recent de-regulation of the electric service providers in your area, you are now eligible for blah blah blah...". Then, when i pressed the number on the keypad to talk o someone, that same voice came on and told me that i was caller #2. Shortly thereafter, a real person came on, and was very polite. That is until she hung up on me when i told her that the electric is not in my name. I tried calling back that number, but got yet another recording, saying that the number i had dialed was no longer taking calls. Hope someone does something about these scammers.
