I just got the call. When I interupted the guy to ask if this was a recording, he simply hung up! I was going to give him a big line of BS. Too bad he got off the phone.
Got a call from this number saying IRS and had back taxes and needed lawyer info or I would be arrested. Kept asking why I was informed through the mail and the guy just kept talking
I just got the same message, all these calls seem to be from Washington DC area , IRS will not call you they will send out a proper letter to address you, Please do not give any information out for you r safty and I.D protection. THIS CALLER IS A SCAM.if your using a mobile phone go to the play store and download for free CM SECURITYS, this is a great tool , once up and running you can Block Callers on your Cell , I contacted the FBI and reported this number.
First it was a call about being eligible for medicaid. I pressed all the "talk to a person" numbers and asked to be removed from the calling list. I was hung up on. Called back and the number didn't work. 10 mins later, same number saying they were the IRS and something bad was going to happen to me if I didnt call back. Called back and hoping this request to be removed is successful. They call quite a bit.
I received this call and was harassed about owing 6 years of back taxes to the IRS. I Was told the police were coming to arrest me as well as other things. I Was to immediately leave work go, to the bank withdraw ALL my money in cash then take it to a super market transfer it into a pre payed card before going somewhere else to send it to them.
Received a call earlier. They could barely speak english. Told me to contact them or my attorney. Said I would be sorry if I didnt contact them. I had not picked up the phone. I heard the message. I called them back. Told them you've got to be kidding, you are a scam. They cursed me out. I hung up. I then called my congressman. The told me to contact Tax payer Advocates. No one was in the office. The contacted the FTC, registered a complaint. Can't believe no one can stop them. I hope some elderly person does not get scammed. I also can't believe our gov't has no answer.....just pass the buck.
