Calls about the same time every morning but does not say anything when phone is answered. I called back and got a computer type voice recording saying they are veterans now calling looking for support. if you listen through the message, there is an option to leave a message if you want your number removed from the list

Low life trolls call at least twice daily. Calls are blocked, so can't tell you which scammer it might be, if pure robocall, or somebody actually gets on the line at some point.
This is supposedly a veterans charity called "Veterans Now." A google of that indicates it is a radio show sponsored by the GI Go Fund, Inc." which is a tax free charity. Going to their website, they say "GI Go Fund provides assistance to all military veterans, with a focus on veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan, by helping them find employment, access housing, and secure their education and health benefits." HOWEVER, I can't find any mention of "Veterans Now" or a radio show.
Another google associated Veterans Now" with "On behalf of.org," another tax free charity. Another dead end. Their website didn't mention "Veterans Now."
Guidestar USA, Inc has IRS Form 990s for both these charities but nothing for "Veterans Now." You can get IRS Form 990s free from Guidestar--I strongly recommend that before donating to any charity--but I got bored and didn't do that. 990s allow you to see how much of your donation will go to the "charities" and how much to non-program work. Most interestingly, you can look at the salaries of the charities principals (president, staff, etc.)
Finally, I called this number back (using *67 of course). The answering recording said Veterans Now, but the call originated from a cell phone in Sterling, Va, which is a suburb of Washington DC. I automatically suspect any solicitation call coming from a cell phone. Seems like an organized charity doing good work could at least operate from a traceable landline. But then, maybe I am just old fashioned.
