Just recieved a text to my at&t phone saying "Sent you an email. When you get a chance do take a look at it.".... of course, i never recieved an email... just the text to the mobile, trying to get me to call...
Identical issue - Verizon customer, my wife & I have received numerous calls over the past 2 days from the
number 571-422-7207, again stating they were calling on behalf of Brookville National Bank. Our phone
numbers are also (937) 657-xxxx, and we live approximately 5 miles from Brookville, Ohio. Have never had
any accounts with that bank.....
SCAM!!!, I to received the same phone calls. My calls indicated my Brookvillle National debit card had a problem. I live only a few miles from Brookville Ohio and do not bank there. In my line of work I deal with all sorts of scams. If I ever receive an automative phone call from my bank, I hang up and call them back. If they ever call me and want to discuss stuff and ask for my SSN or DOB for verification, I always remind them "They called me." Never ever give out you information when you have no idea who is on the other end. If ever there is a question call your bank or credit card company direct. Never ever call the number "they" provide. Call the number you have.
They are expanding. I am in Texas and got this call this morning. And I don't have Verizon (AT&T instead.) I'm filing a complaint with DNC registry, as I've listed my number as do not call. I suggest others do the same. Or the BBB if you aren't registered as DNC.
Hi annoyed -- aggravated here. I'm in Texas as well and I just received the call; didn't answer as I always research unknown numbers before I do. Wow. I will follow your advice re: DNC as I am listed as well. Thanks.
