Yes it's ABC (another bad caller) trying to sell insurance. DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM A NUMBER YOU DON'T KNOW. When you answer, they will confirm their list has working/answering number and then continue to call again & again. If you don't answer, they tend to drop you off their dialing list. Keep in mind that the list is often sold to other telemarketers and your number has been validated as one that will answer. You may be able to block the number on your home or cell phone depending on your service provider. You can also add a modem to your home PC and let it handle incoming calls and block them for you. It is the faulty DO NOT CALL LIST policy rules that allow insurance and banker telemarketing calls. Get involved and write to your state and federal legislature requesting a change in the loopholes.
I get several calls a week from this number. Says I qualify for life insurance if I have a direct deposit of my SS check. I am signed up for the do not call list but I still get them.
I get these calls under different phone #'s but it's the same scam. I don't pickup but they leave a msg. regarding ins. for seniors. Invasion of my privacy.
