Republican Sen at this same number got my voicemail and, unfortunately, if he told me his name, it wasn't recording the message yet, but then the message started with the gentleman wanting to be "cordial by hoping sincerely that you're personally doing well today." Then there was a lot of coughing, two sneezes, a "I'm sorry, what was that?" and then another sneeze, cough and "hang on just one second" and then he hung up. Actually made me laugh and re-listen 4 more times!
Called and like most of these annoying idiots, didn't leave a message. They're now blacklisted by my call blocker and won't bother me again...at least not from this number.
I've had a number of calls from similar numbers recently, all of which have been associated with the RNC, or some close relative, i.e., Republican Senators something-or-other, etc.
Don't waste your time with the DNC list. It only keeps legitimate telemarketers only from calling you, and the vast majority of calls come from thieves and criminals, a.k.a., politicians, who know they can ignore the do not call list cause nobody's enforcing it anyway, and in the case of politicians, they're exempt from the list.
Instead, invest a small amount of money ($40 to $60) on a call blocking device. They only work with landlines, so if you only use a cell phone, I guess there are services out there that you can subscribe to that effectively do the same thing as a call blocker.
