Login to your service provider. Find the list of calls. Click or right click on the call and select block from menu list. After that, their attempt to call does not even register trying to call. They get very upset. Hurt them where it huts the most by blocking them.
Scammer spoofing Lupus, which is a legitimate charity in Washington, DC. If you want to donate to Lupus, go directly to their website, http://www.lupuspickupmdva.org/. They never call; they e-mail or use the postal service.
Well that is irritating. I have this number on my list to forward to another irritating donation scammer. When the caller recognized they were being forwarded, they hung up without speaking to the other donation scammer. You would think they would like to talk to each other and maybe trade a few tricks. It does give me pleasure when I hear the aborted ring of a call being forwarded, though.

Call center in SW Virginia with robo notifications if someone picks up, but silent if it gets recording machine or service tone. They makes calls on behalf of Purple Heart, Salvation Army, National Children's Center, Heritage for the blind, many others, and today was LUPUS. Recording simply said that their donation truck was scheduled to be at the Duke St Plaza shopping Centre parking lot on Easter Sunday from 10am- 4pm. No hard sell etc.
Lupus Pickup, the non-profit ORG, will not verify the name of its outside solicitors, and furthermore, refused to verify the amounts of donations for the donors' tax deduction purposes. Not a legitimate non-profit ORG.
