I just returned a call from this number and spoke with a rude person claimed that I was being prosecuted by the IRS for "Misrepresenting Information" and that I could NOT hang up the phone until I paid a bond so that they didn't file charges. He also said that I had to go to the IRS office and pay my fine, BUT he wouldn't give me the address or any other information unless I paid the bond. Eventually, after I realized this was a scam, I hung up. . . .Irritated.
Yes, I too got a call from an older gentleman telling me he was with the IRS and that I needed to call him back immediately and that I had a tax liability that needed to be taken care of right a way. I did not call him back as I assumed it was some type of scam or crank call. I also knew that the IRS did not make phone calls like that. Someone needs to find out who this company is and take legal action against them ASAP!
Just received a call from this number. "Kevin Peterson" had a German accent & said I was a primary witness in a tax liability case with the IRS. I looked up the number because it sounded sketchy (there were no specific details related directly to me) on finding this thread I am going to ignore & assume it's a scam. Thanks everyone.
I got a call from this number this morning. Comes up on my caller ID as Arlington, Va. The guy speaks with a VERY heavy indian accent and I guess he doesn't know how to wait for voice mail message to stop before speaking because I only got half a message. No way in hell am I calling them back about anything. He was extremely rude also on my voice mail. We have no tax problems with the IRS so this is totally a scam. Another number to add to the block list. I really want to know where the hell these people are getting my unpublished/private number from. I pay for it to be that way and I get soliciting calls daily.
