My cell phone area code was created in 1997 and I got the phone a couple years after that (havent' changed #s in almost 20 years now), so the odds that someone else had the # before me who just happened to be a Rolla grad are statistically insignificant (see how I worked in some college-math humor there?).

Call was blocked by my cell phone as the # is not in my contact list. Have seen several other calls from this area code/exchange over the last month. Don't know anyone in Rolla MO so suspect that this is a telemarketer who is spoofing phone #s.

I used to attend college in Rolla and every fall the seniors were required to call alumni and request donations for the school. I am assuming that is what this is.
