This people have called me about ten times on my cell phone. I keep asking them to quit calling me an to take me off their calling list.
now they just call and hang up. Thank you
One of many spoofed numbers by the same person purporting to be from 'IT Solutions', who have been 'outsourced by Microsoft'. The SCAM is to gain control of your computer and ransom it back to you.
A woman called me on my cell from this number claiming she received an error when sending automatic windows downloads. Said she's an IT person. I knew better and she hung up when I told her I took care of my own IT problems. I was curious and called the number back from my office phone and it goes directly to some voicemail message. Nothing identifying who they are. We are getting these calls several times a week and none of them are legitimate IT people.
I just received a call from this number stating IT Solutions working for Microsoft. Supposedly they sent me an e-mail on Tuesday, not true, and wanted me to work with a technician to removed the firewall from my laptop. Funny they did not know which laptop. Certainly a SCAM. Especially when I asked to reschedule for tomorrow at 9:30 am she replied that they work 10:00 am - 6:00 pm to accommodate all time zones, certainly not globally.
I answered a call and there was noise in the background like from a call center. They asked if I was Jasmine. I said yes. Then nothing else was said and they hung up. Sounded from the states though. Suspicious to me though. Blocked the number.
