It has to be a scam - robo voice says its my bank and that I need to re-activate my debit card. Then asks for debit card number and other information. Actually lists back to a company in Indiana.
yes it is a scam.. ive called back the number and they have told me that they are a building supply company, so i asked them some questions about some building supplys that they sell and they didn't know anything about any kind of building supplys... these people should be taken out to the street and shot in the back of the head.. low life scum, carma is a mutha!!!!
This number called to tell me my bank of the cascades visa debit had been deactivated and i had to give my information to their security department. Weird since that is not even my bank. I called the number back and got Burkholder Buildings, or the answering machine for. This scam has happened in my area numerous times.
rec'd call 3/5/10 5:52 PM. Bank of the Cascades Visa card had been deactivated - needed to update information - press 1 to update (yeah right, hung up). Definately a scam - gotten similar emails prior. Will be reporting to Oregon Atty General on Monday morning.
My Mother recieved the same call yesterday and she does have a bank card from Bank of the Cascades of course she knew right away it was a scam and hung up. Then I missed a call from the same number today. We're going to talk with our bank tomorrow about this. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels!
