Well these buttdialers must go on calling sprees at certain times a year because they buttdial me pow-pow from one then the next like that's going to help and the reason I say they must be buttdialing is because the intelligence level required to do this would have to lead to buttdialing I just can't see any other way yano
Received a call from this number at our office at 8:30pm CST. Stated he was with some company that could increase the position of our website on Yahoo, Google and Bing.
Here's the message that I got on voice mail. Pardon the lousy transcription to text -- it's what the phone company provides:

Pretty much the same as Annoyed in Tucson. Left a VM with the same script. It is funny, claiming that 'we are the data service provider' for Google and Yahoo. Just use any old jargon to scam your victims!
Well, what does this really mean? That this company provides data to Google and Yahoo? Well, I guess it would be true AS ANYONE WHO SUBMITS their website for inclusion in Google and Yahoo would be a Data Service Provider - except if you do it yourself then it would be FREE.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) are just a bunch of modern day snake oil salesman. Yes, back in 1997 you could 'optimize' your site for Alta Vista, Webcrawler, Hotbot and the likes. Even in 2004, you could have done the same for the likes of Google.
Just surprises me in 2012 that these scammy SEO companies are still making their telemarketing rounds.,
