Called an left no message. Caller id says Alamogordo NM.

I suspect that this is a fake Google placement call.
DO NOT ANSWER THESE OUT OF AREA CALLS - DO NOT CALL THESE CRIMINALS BACK!
We never answer unknown or out of area calls.  Have now blocked the entire 575 area code - New Mexico.
Should they change telephone numbers and call from the 575 area code, they are still blocked.
When a blocked call comes in, our phones do not ring - NOT EVEN ONCE!

Just called and let the phone firewall block the call. Left no message.

Here's what the voice said before I turned off the phone and blocked the number:

"Due to increased criminal activity in your area, GE Security has selected five homes..."

That's as far as these crooks got with me.  Maybe they were thieves hoping to be invited into homes!

Suggest:
Do not pick up Caller ID flakes.
"ONLINE UPDATE" will not update your info, but their computers know if the ring was answered.
Your valid phone number becomes a commodity.
Review your recent calls, Please search & note those numbers at 800notes.
