Recorded voice mail saying irs has filled a lawsuit against me to call the number back, didn't leave a reference number. When I called back the person answered the phone "hello" I asked them who they were that told me they were calling from the irs collections department and asked me for my first and last name I didn't give it to him. I asked him where his department was located and he said they were in Washington DC but the number comes up out of New Mexico. I asked him what his id # was, he repeated the question and paused then said iwr and rambled a bunch of numbers, not really sure what's going on but it's not the irs.

I called it back and spoke with a guy that speaks very broken English and was unable to answer any questions, just wanted my first and last name.. These scammers are just getting lazy now.. Obviously not the IRS, just ignore this call

The recording(female voice) sounded automated and somewhat monotone. I punched in the number 3 in hopes it was the removal choice but, got nothing; then punched in the number 9 and it directed me to a voice mail box that actually sounded legit, but the call disconnected immediately after the recorded(male voice) message. The number comes up out of New Mexico. IRS fraud scam #575-706-4429
