I just got my new phone # and apparantly the last owner of teh number is a total dead beat. I've had no fewer then 10 colelctions companies calling for this guy in 2 months. Since they dont believe I'm not teh guy they're looking for, paybacks are hell!!!

I called them back and asked who they were, the man said that they were a personal information call. They had caller id, because he already had my number....they did mention that the call maybe recorded..I advised him I wanted to know why they were calling me and he put me on hold with no information again, I asked him what the name of the company was and he skirted around the answer. Questioned if he was a collection agency? again no info.....So, I do not know what they do.....caller id just shows Enid, Ok.
Called me and immediately said conversation was being recorded. Asked for party with same last name, and I informed them that person doesn't live here. Then she went on to ask if I had any contact info for that person. Even if I did, I would not give it out. She never stated the purpose of the call, and I didn't even bother to ask.
