Guy claimed to be with Microsoft saying "we have detected a virus coming from your computer". Microsoft does NOT monitor for viruses and they don't make 'Free' phone calls to help you. This is just another Indian phishing scam.
Claimed to be Microsoft and asked me to get on my computer because they claimed my computer was sending error reports. I asked which computer and they said "to get on any computer" I hung up...stupid people ugh!!
Caller was a female with an Indian (middle-eastern) accent claiming to be from Microsoft saying a computer at my location was hacked & had viruses - I told her I'm in the IT field & it wasn't, she said it was & threatened to disconnect my IP from the main server on microsoft's behalf if I didn't fix my unbroken computer by working with her & giving her information so she herself can hack my acct & commit identity theft or fraud...
Called our house yesterday. A man with an "Indian" sounding accent said he was calling on behalf of Windows, and he needed to discuss the windows on my computer. I told him I didn't have any windows on my computer and hung up..
