This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They claim to be in partnership with the Better Business Bureau and with Google to get you on the first page of Google results. Google warns that people or businesses claiming to be in partnership with Google to get you on the first page of Google are most likely a scam, as the search algorithms are automated to the point that even Google cannot guarantee placement. Do not provide this scammer any information. Report this scammer to the BBB.
Called office - answered bc I have to. No response after I answered with co. name. I waited a few seconds thinking it was auto-dial but no one ever picked up. Will pick up and hang up from now on.
Got a call from this number on work phone, ignored it since they have been calling all the time & we are on the DNC list. When I googled the number it says Yellow Pages.
So I called the number back (blocking office number) it rang about 6 times someone picked it up & hung up. Makes me believe yes its a scam.
The calls are from an advertising company drumming up business. They help small businesses get better exposure by driving more traffic to their website via internet searches through Google, more or less.
Another annoying telemarketer. It's always a sign of a telemarketer when they ask for the person in charge of WHATEVER they are calling about. If they don't know the name of the person they need to speak with, then I figure they are just fishing. They can go fish somewhere else. I am blocking their number and sending them to the telemarketer's nightmare.
