This number has called 3 times in 3 weeks, never leaves a message and hangs up each time. As I am in 585 area code, this caller at first appears to be possibly legit. It looks like the spammers are becoming creative enough to spoof the correct area code of their intended victims into their bogus caller I.D. Very clever. I'm not faulting the Do-Not-Call protections, but it remains a voluntary compliance spammers simply trample. Spammers and thieves don't care about any laws or rules. Nevertheless, until our government becomes more proactive and involves the phone companies (who do generate and receive revenue from spammers), I think little will change. Are the phone companies not complicit, even innocently? Revenue = profit, which makes many honest folks 'look-the-other-way'. Thank you.
