The TeleMarketer Call Centers (TMCC's) don't need any lists. They use robo-dialers and call out in blocks of #'s on phone lines that are for outgoing calls only. The 1st # that answers goes to the "next available representative", who then gives their pre-written speil on behalf of whoever that particular person happens to be scamming for today. The dialer just calls every # in that block, and then goes on to the next block of #'s.
"Spoofing" is allowed by the Com. Co.'s because the telemarketers want everyone who Does return their calls to call Back on a different line, so the CID#'s are "spoofed " with a 2nd phone #.
Most of the TMCC's could be stopped if the Tele-Com Co's. would stop this "spoofing" feature. They Can control their own equipment but the TMCC's pay them too much $$$. They won't kill their "Golden Goose". WE have to put up with the results. Boy and girls, Can you say, "B. O. H. I. C. A." ? ..........

Unknown number, no message, caller id BROCKPORT NY, 2:03 p.m. EDT. Based on the timing and number of unsolicited calls today, my guess is that another government database has recently been hacked and sold to robo-scammers.
