Although this number comes up on my caller ID as Red Cross, I am skeptical that it is legitimate. I donate to the Red Cross every year, and the number they have on file for me is my landline. The calls I get from this number are only to my cell phone. I suspect these calls are robocalls to solicit donations or are scammers posing as the Red Cross. Block this number from calling you, and if you do want to donate to the Red Cross, go to their official website.
They have been calling me everyday for a week. I don't pick up and they don't leave a message. I tried calling the numbr back and it said the numbr wasn't in service.
I didn't even know I'd received a call from this number until I checked my Google Voice. I did a quick search, among the results for which was something tying this number to The Red Cross. I donate blood, and I seem to recall there being some relationship between The Red Cross and Rochester -- where these calls originate. I think it may be the organiztion's home base here in New York State. Still, if that's the case, I'm surprised that no messages are beig left. Of course, my Google Search result could be inaccurate. I just found the correlation between it and my blood donations to be interestingly uncanny.
