Obviously a bot. Probably from a craigslist ad I responded in the gigs section...also, I've avoided all the ads that were obviously fake, this one must looked like a real gig. Got text messges. "Are you looking for cleaning Job? let me know, Thanks." I asked questions. Then it replied. "OK There is going a call on your phone. Receive the call and press: 52 record your voice with name and desired rate. Thanks. Got a call from Washington D.C. 202 455 8888. Wrote this out because I hate CL spam. Wastes time while I'm looking for gigs.
Contacted me through text from a Craigslist ad I replied to about a job. Said to answer the call and press *83. I text back saying if they were legit to call me directly. Then I received 8 calls in a row from 202-455-888. My ID blocker has them reported as a robocall.

I received a text from 5859028879 asking if I was interested in a job for a warehouse assistant. When I asked who they were they said their name was Alex and the call that comes in to put 40 and say my name and rate of pay I want. I received 20...yes 20 calls from 2024558888 in Washington dc. Every single call left a message. I tried to call it back and it said its a google number. I texted back the original number and told them to stop calling me. The calls still persisted one right after the next. I wrote in all caps "STOP" and it finally stopped. This was the first time I have ever dealt with anything like this. BEWARE!!!
Got a text from this number about a cleaning/yardwork gig. Not our local area code so I texted back asking what they were referring to. Their response was I would be receiving a call and to enter some two digit code. Smells like a scam to me, don't fall for it.
