Unfortunately some people have to answer their phone or potentially loose a customer but, for everyone else:
DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBERS BACK !!!!!!!!
Answering or calling them is EXACTLY what they are hoping !!!!!!!
These scammers ONLY make money when you answer or call them back.
These scams can make money from you in multiple ways, BUT ONLY if you answer or call them back.
1. If you speak to them, they try and convince/scare you into thinking you owe money and must pay them immediately. BAD IDEA!!!!!
2. If you call them back, they now KNOW your number is good and your number is now on a list they can sell for more money than just an unknown numbers list. And you will get more phone calls from others that buy these lists. BAD IDEA!!!!!!
Answering or calling back will guaranty your scam calls will continue and certainly increase in volume.
Called twice today, so far. Left messages that they were the IRS and that they were suing me. It was so tempting to pick it up and give them a piece of my mind, but like KenP said, I just ignored them.
