Numbers are being blasted to insurance companies as potential leads by a company called Agent Insider, which is what is driving this wave of robocalls. The rather nice young lady I spoke to from one of these agencies said that her agency did not even have a feedback form to send to AI to inform them of DNC/wrong numbers.
One horror story on Ripoff Reports detailed how, when one fellow called AI to demand they cease & desist, they scraped his work cell number off the caller ID and started selling that "lead" too.
Based on a partial voice message this phone number appears to be from "Insurance Network". This is an MCI Worldcom Communications land line located in Southfield Michigan. Daily calls from this number resulted immediately after requesting an insurance quote for auto insurance on the Esurance.com website. The calls are robot dialed.
Agreed that this has something to do with insurance, I had just requested a couple car insurance quotes and my phone has not stopped ringing off the hook. This is one of those stupid numbers, they call, let voicemail pick up, then it disconnects. I have now blocked them.
Some guy called after I searched & filled out some forms online from http://www.cheapautoinsurance.org/ & I instantly got a call from him. He asked if I was single then asked if I was available... then asked for my FACEBOOk..... I thought that was a bit odd. SCAM.
