This is a company named “Windows Plus” out of Warren, Michigan. They’re owned and run by the Carrier family. I was a gassed when I picked up a call from "Giving Hearts" which I thought would be a charity. The operator asked, by using my full name, if I "Suzie Quque”, the home owner" was home. I asked who is calling and she said "Windows Plus, are you the home owner?" I informed her I was on the "Do No Call' list and NOT to call me again.
I was so outraged by the use of a bogus "charitable" organization’s name that I called 586-754-2060 from their web site and spoke with Carol Carrier- Marketing Director. I asked if “Giving Hearts is a charity misleading the public to furnish YOUR family with more money and business?” I conveyed to her what a repulsive way to drum up business and to get a conscious and to stop doing it. I also informed her that I filed a complaint with the information I obtained to the National Do Not Call Registry and Federal Trade Commission. I left a message on Ron Carrier’s line too. The phone numbers calling me are from: 586-501-3200, 586-501-3311 & 586-354-2950 with “Giving Hearts” on the caller ID.
They belong to Global Crossing Telemanagement, Inc. The website giving-hearts.com is a single page with a P.O. Box address that states it takes "third party" contributions and they are currently collecting for Ronald McDonald House. When I called their number on my caller ID, I got a recording that said to go to the website. I called the attorney general's charity fraud division and found that Giving Hearts is not licensed. I understand people are thinking of different and unique ways to obtain new business but come on. Don't do it like that! Yes, our economy is poor and suffering but we are all in this together. We should depend on one another for help and assistance. Underhanded ways of greed is not the way.
I’ve informed them several times to stop calling but to no avail. I received a call just before I emailed you. I picked up the phone and stated what I had done in contacted the Federal Trade Commission, National Do Not Call Registry etc. and to NOT call again. They continually call my home regardless.
Take a look at “The Fats Cats” on their web site: http://www.windowplus.net/staff.htm Ron Carrier and Don Carrier look like they should be reaching for a good diet rather than trying to reach the public for more money and business. When I looked up one of the numbers calling me on Google I found countless individuals complained about them and put their home address and number up for all to see.
