As reported on the news last night!!
Female caller immediately asked "Hello can you hear me?" I said "No, and do not call this number again" She then stated " I'm sorry I see you are not interested and we will remove you from our list" and hung up.

Female voice called, asking if I could hear her. I have heard about this current scam, so instead of saying 'yes' like she wanted, i kept repeating hello? what? hello? then i decided to give her an answer that would indicate i could hear her without saying the word 'yes', so i answered with something like 'if i couldnt hear you, i would have hung up already'. she then told me i won a 100$ gift card to my choice of a list of 4-5 stores (and, as i work in retail, i happen to be aware that every store she named has problem with fraud), so i simply said 'i'll pass'. and she paused and began to try and speak again and i just cut her off and said 'this number is on every single do not call list. if you werent aware of the penalties for calling me and disregarding the do not call lists, just so you are aware, ma'am, I am entitled to sue you company for $500 per call." (this is true, here is just one link showing it); http://abcnews.go.com/Business/make-money-off ... ory?id=24624940. "So, our convo is now  over ma'am, contact me again and you just doubled the lawsuit amount...LATER" and i hung up before she could respond.

And im not sure if it is true regarding the rumors going around that they just want to get you on tape saying "yes" and then saying the name of one of the stores on their list (as apparently they edit it down so they have your voice agreeing to pay for the charges at that store, like 'yes' i agree to the charges listed for 'walmart' (or whatever store theyre scamming)). So, keeping that in mind, just avoid saying yes to them while having a bit of fun with them. I wish i would have originally responded to her question about being able to hear her with "does a bear poop in the woods?" Cuz if they are going to waste my time with these scams, im going to make them waste theirs too.

also, i checked out the website they give when you call the number back. and i didnt actually go to that website, but i a trace on 'researchrewards.net' and its 99.999% a scam. it ends up being owned by someone in Panama, it is 287 days old and most interestingly, the listed life expectency of the website is 365 days total...why would a legit company only give their website a total lifespan of 365 days? they wouldnt. the owner of this site fully expects to be done operating their scam within a year either because they made the money they needed, they were around for too long and word was spreading that they were frauds, or they did get caught and allowing their website to die off automatically would be an easy way to make sure that loose end was tied up.

I received a call from this number and called it back later. The woman on the other end with a slight accent told me if I had medicare and joint pain I could qualify for a brace at little to no cost to me. I told her I didn't have any pain. They called again later. I missed the call twice and they called again and I picked it up, ready to tell them I don't need a brace. A (probably) woman, with no accent (I'm from Michigan, like the call, that's why I picked it up), told me I had won something or other for a store of my choice and listed Target, Walgreens, and something else. I said, "hey, didn't you call me earlier about a free knee brace?" And she said, "sorry, I can see you're not interested. We will remove your number from our list." I said thank you and she hung up.
