I use Trugreen and from what I'm reading about this number it's probably a scam with all the complains the number is getting online. Trugreen leaves a recording when they are coming out to service my lawn. Also most of there calls CID says it is Trugreen.
This number just called my cell phone but as it's no one I know and the CID only says Michigan, I didn't answer. They didn't bother to leave a message so I won't bother to call them back. I've gotten about half a dozen calls over the last few weeks with only Michigan as the CID. Guess they think I'll answer because they're calling from the state I live in.
Call back gets, "Thank you for calling us back. We recently tried to contact you regarding your lawn care." They go on to identify themselves as TruGreen Lawn Care and then give you options for, " current account holders," "if you wish to speak with a lawn care consultant, etc.
I think scammers are spoofing the number-a quick web search shows the possibility that the number has been used in spam calls (and only one listed it as TruGreen)
That's always a possibility. Even if you get TruGreen, there's no guarantee that's who called you. We'll have to wait until someone answers and reports back. It makes me wonder why legitimate businesses don't fully identify themselves on CID. Cheers :-)
