When I'm concerned about a transaction I always use American Express as they will back you in a pinch and reverse a fraudulant transaction. These scammers are aware of that and will not accept an American Express card. I refused to give them any other card so they locked up my computer forcing me to send $$$ Western Union to India. Never turn control of your computer over to anyone. They suckered me into believing they were actually Microsoft Support and by the time I figured out what was going on it was too late. It wasn't a lot of money but I hate to get screwed out of anything.
So I answered and they hung up. So I called them and the message indicated that it wasn't in service.
Too bad, I wanted to hang up on them over and over.
Do not fall for this scam. They identify themselves as Windows Support and they use various telephone numbers. They claim Microsoft has been getting trouble codes from your computer and ask to take remote control of your computer to fix the issues. They are NOT Microsoft, they are operating out of India and this is a total scam. Once they have control of your computer they will demand that you send money through Western Union to a recipient in India. Once they have your money they will give you the access code to regain control of your computer. I have reported these scumbags to every government organization possible and also to Microsoft. Doesn't do any good. They are still in business and no one seems to give a damn.

Came home to multiple missed calls from this number. Called again while I was home. I answered with my business name vs just "hello". They said "oops" and hung up.
