Goya letter in the mail from Publisher Clearing House and the same number as above but the name on mine letter is Mitchel Johnston . So disappointed! Really thought my mom had won 2.5 million! Thanks for the help!

Received a Scam in the mail for Publishers Clearing House.
Instructions to call 1-587-719-0421 and ask for Johnny Young.
Did that, and he transferred the call to another phone...???number and a foreign person answered.
They want me to deposit check for $5,000.00 to my checking account..
This is a SCAM.

This company did not call me,they sent it in the mail and the phone numbers were almost the same the said to call Jeffery Johnson at 1-587-719-0267 before depositing the check,I did neither as I was scared like this before....they also said not to tell any third party about this.,don
They don't want you to tell anyone because they are afraid someone will tell you that the check is no good. They want you to deposit the check and then send them money for something like taxes or fees. The check is no good and you are out the money, the bank fees, and if the check is big enough, you can sometimes be criminally charged. Take the check and the envelope and anything else that came with it to the post office and have them send it to the postal inspectors.
