Answered to an add I had on kijiji, was a complete scam !!....

Was it for a car?

I got a text message from the same # in response to an ad in Kijiji (boat). Wants my Paypal a/c or bank a/c info to send payment and when payment clears sending a courier to pick up the boat (he is with CAAP and too busy with his job to come). Needless to say I'm highly suspicious! Hope this detail helps the next person.

i got a text message right away after posting my truck on kijiji. the email ([email protected]) was worded poorly and looks suspicious so i googled the phone number which brought me to this page, i am not going to respond. I am assuming it is a phishing scam looking to email/bank account details.

when in doubt, do not reply, people can always phone you in person

I received the same text message from the same number in response to my husband's ad in Kijiji for his car.
