Had just posted item on Craigslist and received text from this number asking if item still for sell. I replied back stating it was but could not mail it and sells would have to be local. Lol recd text back saying condition was fine and so was price - I knew immediately it was scam. Text stated they would pay by cashier's check and would arrange pick up once cashier's check cleared.
wonder what would happen if we do a sting operation ok a deal and refuse to let item be picked up until check clears which is, I believe 10-15 business days. Have detectives there to arrest them. Has to be way to stop these scammers.
