Also, if I may be so bold as to add, the purpose of this website is to assist others in identifying the source of and reason for unsolicited calls. It is not in any way helpful to post messages stating such things as "didn't answer, left no voicemail," or "why are these people calling me" or comments indicating the frequency of calls from whatever number. I would say these and similarly vapid, contentless messages comprise at least 90% of all messages on this website, and if you include those messages that just complaining about the Do Not Call List, then it's at least 95%.
There are only two reason someone would visit this website:
1) He doesn't know who's calling him, or for what reason they're calling; or
2) He does, in fact, know who's calling him and/or why, and wants to post a message in order to share this information with those who don't have yet have it.
The latter reason is pretty much the main purpose of the message board, in addition to being for sharing other pertinent information about a call/caller even though it might not assist identification.
A good rule of thumb would be that if the message you're about to post contains no useful insight or information, then *don't* post it. It's just pointless (and bizzare) self-indulgence to go out of your way to effectively announce to the forum that you don't know anything about the subject matter under discussion. Because., to put it bluntly, NOBODY CARES ABOUT WHAT YOU *DON'T* KNOW!
Got a call from 587-885-1267 did not answer and caller did not leave a message. I just do not answer the phone anymore unless I recognize the number or the name - sick and tired of solicitors and scammers.
They tried to pass themselves off as a political survey company. Since I was out when they called, it was a completely automated robo call that just kept asking questions of a personal nature until it just about filled my answering machine then suddenly quit. Must be some kind of scam call the way they blurred the name of the supposed company. The 587 is a Calgary number.
